Product Description
LOCTITE SI 587 is a one-component metallic blue oxime RTV silicone for formed-in-place gasketing and sealing. It requires no mixing and is used for gasket replacement or dressing on assemblies including valve covers, oil pans, water pumps, intake manifolds, and rear axle housings. At 25 deg C, the uncured material has a specific gravity of 1.28 to 1.33 and a Semco-cartridge extrusion rate of 250 to 600 g/min. Tack-free time is 10 to 50 minutes at 25 deg C and 50+/-5% RH. After seven days under those conditions, cured elongation is at least 350%.
